What I think this statement is trying to say is that
when you are doing something today you should always think how it is going to affect
you right now and in the future like let’s say you want to become a basketball player
and you are doing some type of drug the people hiring for basketball players
won’t want to have you in their team they want someone who work to the top and
didn’t take short cuts to it they want the very best not a slacker that things
short cuts will save them.
