"Walk a Mile in My Shoes"

"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."
- To Kill A Mockingbird
"Walk a Mile in My Shoes"
By Elvis Presley
If i could be you, if you could be me
For just one hour, if we could find a way
To get inside each other's mind
If you could see you through my eyes
Instead your own ego
I believe you'd be
I believe you'd be surprised to see
That you've been blind
Walk a mile in my shoes
Just walk a mile in my shoes
Before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Then walk a mile in my shoes
Now if we spend the day
Throwin' stones at one another
'cause I will,'cause I will think
To wear my hat the same way you do
Well, I may be common people
But I'm your brother
And when you tryin' to hurt me
It's hurtin' you, Lord how mercy
Now there are people on reservations
And out in the ghetto
And whether they're for the grace of god
Or you and I,
If I only had wings of a little angel
Don't you know, I'd fly
To the top of the mountain
And then I'd cry, cry, cry

Reflection
What I think about this song is first don't judge a person if you don't know their pass or what they've been though. He also says he'd like the person to see their self through his eyes so that they can view their self and how they are acting how they've been blind.

Progress On My 100 Goals

I went to my friends house the other day because he had told me his grandma was old fashion and liked to do stuff by hand and asked if I could help on painting a fence in her backyard and I agreed, because that is one of the goals I am working on I didn't do the whole fence by myself but I still got the hang of doing it. It was a fun experience and I bet I'll use this knowledge in the future when I grow up and have a house of my own. I've also been playing the guitar in my first period instruments so I am working on that goal in school. A new sport I have been getting into is football. I've been playing at the park whenever i see people playing in P.E and in the park on the weekends. I have been talking to people in Spanish more often so I could speak it better and I've been doing writing assignments in my Spanish class to improve my writing in Spanish and that is one of my goals.

Progress on 100 goals

For my 100 goals I have been doing 30 minute work outs. I have been also going to the library to keep up with my reading habits I have been reading the hunger games, catching fire, and blue mocking jay. These books are all created by the same author and I like this author so much that I've even watched the movies of these books. My dad and I were planning on going to a college to look at their campus, we heard the more a student sets foot on a campus they are more likely to go to college than a person that didn't . We are also planning on picking up an application at this campus so I could learn how to complete one.

Progress On The 100 Goals

So far I have been doing alright on my goals, I have been going to the park and playing new sports. For example just this Saturday I played 3 games of basketball and 3 games of tackle football. I played for 10 in the morning and left the park around 2:30. I took a shower and started to study to keep up with my work in school. Now what I do to make sure I do all my weekend homework is do it on Fridays and Saturdays. I was also planning on going this weekend and trying to fill out a college application so that I know how it looks and I'll be prepared to fill one out when I'm actually going to go. I also asked my grandma if she can help teach me how to bake a cake it was really easy and delicious after. I am trying to maintain my grades it's pretty hard but I'm doing what I can to keep up with the work that is assigned both out of class and in class. there is only one goals that I know I failed at and that was eating healthy in 2014 because I ate a cake the day I made it to see if it was good, but that's just one out of the 100.

Progress on My 100 Goals

I have made 100 goals on a notebook and i am trying to do all these goals as soon as i can. Some of my goals are long term and some of my goals are short term that why I'm not putting a certain time in want to finish them but their are some goals I have been working on. Some of these goals have to do with how i am going to do in school this semester to help me do better than last year. I am so far doing all my homework and haven't missed an assignment and I am willing to keep this up till the end of the semester. Some of the goals in my notebook is to be more fit and join a couple of sports the reason I put these as some of my goals, because there are a lot of unfit kids now a days an I don't want to fall under that category. I have been going to the Linda Marquez Park to do work outs, run the track, and even play basketball with my brother.
